Henmilite

These are the specimen from FUKA MINE, BICCHU TOWN, JAPAN. These are some of the very fine specimens of Henmilite found only at the Fuka mine in Bicchu town, Kawakami county, Okayama prefecture, Japan.  It is a hydrated copper borate and, surprisingly, given its chemistry, stable in any environment (not subject to decay in humid climates).

FUKA MINE, BICCHU TOWN, JAPAN - The best specimen of this flat. It hosts a lot of perfectly terminated blue henmilite crystals up to 3 mm. Thanks to the white matrix, all the crystals are nicely visible. Overall size is 3x3x2.5 cm.

JAP-4

FUKA MINE, BICCHU TOWN, JAPAN - The are a lot of henmilite crystals on this rock. All of them are terminated and up to 2 mm. The overall size of this specimen is 4.5X4X2.5 cm.

FUKA MINE, BICCHU TOWN, JAPAN - This specimen hosts several 1-2 mm henmilite crystals, some of them on tiny calcite crystals. Overall size is 2.5x2x1.5 cm.
