
Cetineite from Le Cetine mine, Siena, Italy
This is one of the unique
minerals found at the Le Cetine mine, close to Siena, Italy. This last is one of
the most known italian antimony deposit in highly silicified evaporites.
Cetineite derives from roasting of the rocks containing antimony. This is the
type locality for cetineite whose formula is K1.8Na1.6(Sb2O3)0.9(Sb2S3)0.9(OH)0.5·2.4(H2O).
