SULFUR

COZZODISI MINE, AGRIGENTO, SICILY, ITALY - There are some large sulfur crystals on this specimen, close to a cavity containing other smaller ones. The large sulfurs are nicely terminated, with a neat yello color and are up to 2 cm on the edge ! The smaller ones are up to 0.5-1 cm. Overall size of this rock is 5.5x6.5x4.5 cm

COZZODISI MINE, AGRIGENTO, SICILY, ITALY - There are 2 large sulfur crystals on crystalline aragonite and smaller ones around. The large sulfurs are terminated and have a nice display, and the smaller are around 1-1.5 cm on the edge. In total there are half a dozen sulfur here ! The large sulfurs are up to 2.5x2 cm in size. The specimen has a coating of natural bitumen that is typical for some of the sulfur mines of the Sicily area. Overall size is 7x5.5x3.5 cm
