CELESTINE from Sicily

Sulfur from the old sulfur mines in Sicily, Italy

Just arrived from Sicily ! a very nice flat of crystalline sulfur, bright yellow color and nice terminated crystals. The size of the specimens is in around 3x3 3x3.5 cm and the some of the rocks show crystals up to 1 cm ! These are not the giant, bright yellow crystals you might see in other pages of this site (page 1 and 2) but have real nice prices ! some of the specimens show natural bitumen on. It can be easily removed with a solvent if you do not like its color or aroma !

	ITA-A133 CELESTINE FLORISTELLA MINE, ENNA, SICILY - A rare to find specimen. This mine is now floaded, it was closed more than 20 years ago. This rock hosts terminated celestine crystals around 2 cm, with some sulfur on the matrix. Nice 3.5x3x3 cm rock. 25$
	ITA-A136 reserved SULFUR COZZODISI MINE, AGRIGENTO, SICILY - There is a nice 1 cm sulfur crystal and some other smaller ones. The matric show a coverage of some bitumen, typical from this mine. 3x3x2.5 cm. 20$
	ITA-A137 reserved SULFUR COZZODISI MINE, AGRIGENTO, SICILY - There are 2 well visible and exposed sulfur crystals on crystalline aragonite matrix. The sulfur size is in the 0.5-0.8 cm range. Some natural bitumen. Nice 3x3x2.5 cm rock. 20$
	ITA-A138 sold SULFUR COZZODISI MINE, AGRIGENTO, SICILY - On aragonite matrix there are 2 bright yellow sulfur crystals. Their size is 0.5-1 cm. Some bitumen. Nice position and good shape ! showy 3x3x1.5 cm. 25$
	ITA-A139 SULFUR COZZODISI MINE, AGRIGENTO, SICILY - This crystal is a complex one, probably a multi-twinned crystal. I count 3 crystals, at least, forming a 1.3 cm crystal. Bright yellow color that makes a nice contrast on the natural bitumen. 2.5x2x2 cm. 25$
	ITA-A140 SULFUR COZZODISI MINE, AGRIGENTO, SICILY -There are 4 crystals on this rock, the largest is around 1.4 cm with a point of contact on its right side. The aragonite matrix has some bitumen coating. 3x2.5x1.5 cm 20$
	ITA-A141 SOLD SULFUR COZZODISI MINE, AGRIGENTO, SICILY - This rock hosts a nice sulfur crystal of 1 cm, no damage. It stands on aragonite matrix with some bitumen on. 2x2x1.5 cm 25$
	ITA-A142 SULFUR COZZODISI MINE, AGRIGENTO, SICILY - There are several sulfur crystals in the size range of 0.5-1 cm. There is some etching on some edges but the color is nice. 2.5x2x2 cm. 15$
