SMITHSONITE & CERUSSITE

MONTEPONI MINE, CAGLIARI, ITALY - A rare to find specimen ! An great old timer ! This specimen is a heavy smithsonite specimen, with a lot of crystalline yellow globular formations of smithsonite, typical of this peculiar area of Sardegna. There are also 2 perfectly terminated white cerussite crystals 1-1.3 cm long. Overall size is 7x5x7.5 cm.

SCHEELITE

TRAVERSELLA MINE, TORINO, ITALy - Since this mine is no longer open, few specimens of scheelite are easily available. This specimen is from a collection of the early 1970. The rock shows a well terminated 1.5 cm scheelite crystal on a crystalline magnetite matrix ! A quite large crystal for this locality. Overall size is 4x4x4 cm.

BOULANGERTE

BOTTINO MINE, SERAVEZZA, LUCCA, ITALY - This mine was famous for great association of different minerals. From this mine great specimens of acicular boulangerite were found. Nowadays the mine is defunct and this is one of those hystorical and rare to find specimens ! there is a great coverage of boulangerite on quartzite matrix. Overall size is 8x5x3.5 cm.
