CALCITE

MONTALTO DI CASTRO, VITERBO, ITALY - Yellow and yellowish calcite spheroids are nicely exposed on this lavic rock. These calcite formations crystallized inside cavities of magma after the eruptions ! The spheroids are up to 1.8 cm in diameter. Overall size is 7x4.5x4 cm.

PIZZO MARCIO, VAL VIGEZZO, NOVARA, ITALY - Well exposed emerald from Italy ! This is the only location for beryl var emeralds in Italy. This crystal is well defined and 0.7x0.6 cm in size. It shows a nice light green color. Overall size is 3x1.3x1 cm.
