SAN PIERO, ISOLA ELBA, LIVORNO, ITALY - Showy schorlite crystals are well exposed on this rpck. The biggest is 1.1 cm long with perfect termination. There are other smaller all around. Overall size is 7.5x3x5 cm.

Facciatoia, San Piero, Isola Elba, Livorno, Italy - An old specimen from the historical quarry of Facciatoia, now defunct. There is a 0.4 cm terminated pink/red elbaite inside a cavity of the pegmatite vein. Lot of quartz crystals all around and a grey orthoclase. The grey color is a classic for Facciatoia.
