San Piero, Isola Elba, Livorno, Italy - There are almost a dozen elbaites on this rock ! They show a classic brown color with a lighter top, almost transparent in some of them. Their size is up to 0.8 cm. Very nice specimen of 4.5x3x2 cm in size

San Piero, Isola Elba, Livorno, Italy - This specimen shows an open pegmatite cavity with a lot of schorl crystals, many of them are terminated. The schorl are up to 0.5 cm. Classically, there are several orthoclases, bright white and on one of them there is a 0.9 cm beryl, terminated and waterclear. Beryls are usually coupled with schorl at Isola Elba. The orthoclases are 1 cm on the edge. Overall size is 8.5x7x5 cm.
