San Piero, Isola Elba, Livorno, Italy - A great amount, hundreds of terminated schorl crystals cover most of the surface of this pegmatite specimen ! Classicallythe schorl crystals are grouped in  cluster on orthoclases or quartz crystals. This kind of aspect is typical when opening the pockets where there had been not so great space to develop large and/or big schorl crystals. Though it has 2-4 mm crystals, the sight is interesting for the brigthness and the luster of the terminations ! overall size is 11x7x3.5 cm. Weight is 330 gr

San Piero, Isola Elba, Livorno, Italy - A classic specimen from the pegmatite areas of San Piero.This specimen has an open cavity with a some large orthoclase crystals up to almopst 3 cm on the edge. All around there are quartz crystals and a number of terminated schorl crystals to the size of 0.5 cm. The specimen is very representative of the pockets that can be found in the pegmatites areas of San Piero ! overall size is 13x9.5x5.5 cm.

SAN PIERO, ISOLA ELBA, LIVORNO, ITALY - This specimen hosts some waterclear quartz crystals with several terminated schorl crystals perched on them and among them ! The schorl are half a dozen, terminated and are up to 0.5 cm in size. There is also a beryl var. goshenite on the back of the specimen.
