San Piero, Isola Elba, Livorno, Italy - A classic specimen from the pegmatite areas of San Piero.This specimen has an open cavity with a some large orthoclase crystals up to almopst 3 cm on the edge. All around there are quartz crystals and a number of terminated schorl crystals to the size of 0.5 cm. The specimen is very representative of the pockets that can be found in the pegmatites areas of San Piero ! overall size is 13x9.5x5.5 cm.

Baia Sprie Mine, Baia Sprie, Romania - A sulphide covered matrix with abundant chalcopyrite sphalerite and galena has a pair of black wolframite crystals on top, with two generations of calcite covering. The main crystal is 1.2 cm in size. Woframite was found along with scheelite in the late 1990s - this is quite typical of the habit. The crystals are not that well terminated. This specimen is from an old collection. The specimen hosts violet fluorite cube of fluorite of 1 cm on the edge and has etching on one corner on the back.
