BACINO MINE, RIO MARINA, ISOLA ELBA, ITALY - The area of Bacino mine is now close and no more accessible for collecting. This bright hematite specimen have been collected in the early 2000 when minimal digging was permitted, though under the control of the Mine Park Assistants. The specimen is fully coverd by bright hematite crystals, with great luster ! the crystals are up to 0.5-0.8 cm on the edge. There are a dozen crystals ! overall size is 2.3x2x1.5 cm

San Leone Mine, Assemini, Cagliari Province, Sardinia, Italy - A classic from this mine. This specimen is composed by a cluster of lenticolar calcite crystals to 2.4 cm in size, partly covered by limonite ! There are a lot of crystals ! On the top there is a bright partly gemmy calcite of 1.4 cm wide ! nice specimen of 8.5 × 6.2 × 3 cm. Weight is 200 gr.

COLONNATA QUARRY, CARRARA, ITALY - A rare and classic from Apuane Alps. This marble specimen has a quite large cavity in whiche a terminated sulfur crystal is nested. The sulfur is 0.7 cm in size and shows anice yellow color. A nice specimen ! Overall size is 5x4.5x4 cm. Weight is 170 gr.

Hemerdon Bal Open Working, Plympton, Devon, United Kingdom - Very nice light blue scorodite crystals show up in this open cavity. The size is up to 0.3 cm. Wel defined and groupped forming clusters ! Overall size is 5.5x3.8x3.2 cm

Fojnica, Central Bosnia Canton, Federation of Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bosnia and Herzegovina - Very nice terminated smoky crystal with hyaline termination 50 mm long. A classic from this locality. Overall size is 4.5x4.5x4 cm. Weight is 75 gr

Berbes, Ribadesella, Asturias, Spain - This specimen hosts a great abundance of perfect cubic fluorite crystals 1-1.2 cm on the edge ! There are dozens crystals here ! Their color is light violet and cover the whole rock on both sides  ! very nice classic specimen from Berbes, Spain. Overall size is 12.5 × 8 × 5.5 cm. Weight is 400 gr.

Pitigliano quarry, Grosseto, Tuscany, Italy - An old specimen probably from late 80ies when the quarry was still operating. The rock is entirely composed by a grossular rich matrix that hosts a large vesuvianite crystal. The vesuvianite is 1x0.5x1 cm in size and stands on the edge of a cavity filled by 1-2 mm grossular crystals. Overall size is 6.5c5.5x4 cm.

LA CIANCIANA MINE, AGRIGENTO, SICILY, ITALY - A classic from Sicily ! This specimen hosts several sulfur crystals and the main is 1.5 cm in size ! all of them are nicely located on aragonite matrix on both sides of the specimen. Nice classic and showy specimen from Sicily. Overall size is 6x6x4.5 cm.

COLONNATA QUARRY, APUANE ALPS, CARRARA, ITALY - Bright yellow sulfur crystal of 0.3 cm in size, perfectly terminated, shows on the white marble. The crystals is close to some calcite crystals up to 0.6 cm in size. A classic, not frequent finding ! overall size is 7.2x5x4 cm. Weight is 215 gr.

Pollone Mine, Valdicastello Carducci, Lucca Province, Tuscany, Italy - Geocronite is a rare sulfide that can be found in this Italian locality. Crystals are very rare ! This rock hosts a crystalline mass of 16 mm embedded in the quartz with a nice and typical metallic grey color. Overall size 7 × 4.4 × 4.2 cm. Weight is 131 gr.
