SAN PIERO, ISOLA ELBA, LIVORNO, ITALY - Pegmatite minerals are sometimes nicely coupled. In fact it is not so rare to find that schorl, beryl and/or cassiterite crystals are variously combined in the same cavity or nearby. This is the case. This rock has half a dozen of terminated schorl crystals up to 0.4 cm. Some of the schorls have a white albite coating as a cap. On one side there is a terminated beryl of 0.45 cm. Overall size is 5.5x5x3.5 cm

Colonnata quarry, Apuane Alps, Carrara, Italy - A bright yellow sulfur crystal of 1x1 cm in size shows on the top of this marble specimen ! A very nice crystal, terminated. Rare to find such kind of crystals. Overall size is 7x4.5x3.5 cm.

LA FACCIATA QUARRY, APUANE ALPS, CARRARA, ITALY - Classic specimen from Apuane Alps ! There is a biterminates quartz crystals of 0.9 cm in size ! There are some other 2-3  mm quartz crystals around a nd a lot of tiny dolomite crystals. Overall size is 6.5x6x5 cm.

This time we have a large cassiterite, up to 0.4 cm ! Great metallic luster and well exposed on the matrix. A must for the Elba pegmatite collectors ! Nice orthocalses and quartzes around. GIUMENTARO MINE, ENNA, SICILY, Italy - A classic from Sicily sulfur mines. Giumentro was one of the most prolific for sulfura and for celestine crystals. This specimen hosts large celestine crystals up to 3 cm. The whole specimen is a cluster of crystals. Overall size is 8x5x4.5 cm.

Trepča, Kosovska Mitrovica, Kosovo - A great real esthetic specimen with well defined bright arsenopyrite crystals surrounded by quartz crystals ! There are also some sphalerite enclosed and rhodochrosite. A real nice specimen rare to find ! Overall size is 3.8 × 3 × 2.3 cm. Weight is 25 gr

Faiallo Pass, Urbe, Savona Province, Liguria, Italy - A classic finding from the ligurian rodingites. This area is famous for the bright and deep red Hessonite crystals that occur in the rodingites of the Appennine Mountains. This specimen is from an old collection and is from the finding of the late 70ies. There are several bright hessonites up to 0.7 cm in size among clinochlore crystals. Overall size is 6.5 × 4.4 × 3.5 cm. Weight is 130 gr.

Case Collina quarry, Pitigliano, Grosseto, Tuscany, Italy - An old timer since this quarry was closed more than 20 years ago. The specimen hosts a number of large and well exposed brown vesuvianite crystals to the size of 1.5 cm ! The vesuvianites have also some tiny grossular crystals all around. The whole rock is a pyroclastic stone. Overall size is 6.5x5.5x5.5 cm. Weight is 200 gr.
