POLLONE MINE, LUCCA, ITALY - A classic from this famous Italian mine. The specimen is composed by crystalline quartx matrix with a well exposed terminated lightly smoky quartz crystal up to 2.7 cm in size. There are some other smaller quartzes with some sulfides coating on some faces. There is also a well defined and terminated white baryte crystal of 1.5 cm in size. Overall size is 6.5x5x4 cm. Weight is 95 gr.

Cava di Melis, Longobucco, Cosenza, Calabria, Italy - The recent new find of cordierite from Italy ! Probably the best and better defined crystals of cordierite vere found in Italy. This specimen hosts a perfectly terminated prismatic cordierite of 0.9 cm in size. The color is green/brown for a coating of pinite. Very nice ! overall size is 3x2.5x2 cm. Weight is 30 gr.

COZZODISI MINE, AGRIGENTO, SICILY, ITALY - There are some large sulfur crystals on this specimen, close to a cavity containing other smaller ones. The large sulfurs are nicely terminated, with a neat yello color and are up to 2 cm on the edge ! The smaller ones are up to 0.5-1 cm. Overall size of this rock is 5.5x6.5x4.5 cm

SAN PIERO, ISOLA ELBA, LIVORNO, ITALY - Pegmatite minerals are sometimes nicely coupled. In fact it is not so rare to find that schorl, beryl and/or cassiterite crystals are variously combined in the same cavity or nearby. This is the case. This rock has half a dozen of terminated schorl crystals up to 0.4 cm. Some of the schorls have a white albite coating as a cap. On one side there is a terminated beryl of 0.45 cm. San Piero, Isola Elba, Livorno, Italy - On a nice grouping of feldspar crystals there are some bright orange spessartine crystals. Spessartine is a rare occurrence on the pegmatite of Elba. The feldspars are up to 1.5-2 cm in size and the spessartine are 0.2-0.3 cm show up on the feldspars. Overall size is 7x4.5x4 cm
