ABBADIA SAN SALVATORE MINE, MONTE AMIATA, SIENA, ITALY - A quite large and heavy specimen mostly composed by cinnabar. The whole rock is covered by tiny, brilliant red crystals of cinnabar. Not easy to find such large old timer specimen from this well known locality ! The whole rock is 7.5x6x4 cm in size.

It is a cinnabar matrix completely covered by tiny micro cinnabar crystals. Quite heavy rock ! Overall size is 7x4x3.5 cm. It comes with old labels. Found in 1960.

San Piero, Isola Elba, Livorno, Italy - On the border of an open cavity, there is a terminated bicolor elbaite 0.7 cm long. Inside this cavity a bigger elbaite shows nicely together with some smaller ones ! A nice specimen of 6.5x4.5x3.6 cm

San Piero, Isola Elba, Livorno, Italy - An old specimen, collected at the beginning of 1900, probably from Grotta d'Oggi area. It hosts 2 perfectly terminated and undamaged polichrome elbaites of 1 and 1.7 cm in size !There are various quartz crystals and one is located in between the 2 elbaites. Forcioni dike, Sant Ilario, Isola Elba, Livorno, Italy - A spectacular specimen from one of the best elbaite findings of the early 90ies. This specimen hosts a perfectly terminated and undamaged multicolor elbaite 1.7 cm in size. The colors are spectacular ! there is an other multicolor elbaite of 1.6 cm on the left ! and a couple of smaller ones are inside the small cavity where the main crystal is located. Lot of other minerals such as lepidolite, ortoclase and albite. A great showy specimen of 7x5.5x5 cm in size
