San Piero, Isola Elba, Livorno, Italy - On the border of an open cavity, there is a terminated bicolor elbaite 0.7 cm long. Inside this cavity a bigger elbaite shows nicely together with some smaller ones ! A nice specimen of 6.5x4.5x3.6 cm

This specimen is composed by a cluster of lenticolar calcite crystals to 2.4 cm in size, partly covered by limonite ! There are a lot of crystals ! There is a 3 cm schorlite vein that shows various crystals throughout the specimen, nicely located close to quartz and feldspar crystals. The schorlite are up to 0.5 cm and some are biterminated. The feldspars are up to 2 cm on the edge ! overall size is 8x7.5x7 cm

LA SPERANZA, SAN PIERO, ISOLA ELBA, LIVORNO, ITALY - The area of La Speranza was one of the oldest area where tourmalines and other pegmatite minerals have been found during the 18th century. More or less 30 years ago a vein was resumed and worked again with some nice findings ! this beryl is from that old findings. The crystal is biterminated and shows multiple terminations and a light blue color. Its size is 0.7x0.6x0.5 cm, quite large for the location ! a great oldtimer. Overall size is 7x5x4.5 cm

COLONNATA QUARRY, CARRARA, ITALY - A rare and classic from Apuane Alps. This marble specimen has a quite large cavity in whiche a terminated sulfur crystal is nested. The sulfur is 0.7 cm in size and shows anice yellow color. A nice specimen ! Overall size is 5x4.5x4 cm. Weight is 170 gr.
