Benitoite Gem Mine, San Benito County, California, USA - This mineral is among the rarest and unique ! Jonesite occurs only at this mine where Benitoite occurs. Unfortunately, now, the mine is closed for good. No way to get more material ! This specimen hosts various small, well exposed cluster of jonesite crystals close to 1 mm in size, more than large for this species ! close to them there are also some partial neptunite and benitoite crystals and some tiny joaquinite crystals, orange in color.
