Yangshuo Mine,  Guilin Prefecture, China - Couple of large terminated plumbogommite crystals pseudomorph of pyromorphite. The crystals are up to 2.5 and 1.5 cm in size. Nice specimen !

Chifeng, Inner Mongolia, China - Bright dark brown andradite crystals nicely grouped forming clusters. The specimen shows a dozen andradites up to 1-1.5 cm in diameter ! Nice rock of 4x3x3 cm

Campiglia Marittima, Livorno Province, Tuscany, Italy - Small black terminations of stand around a small amount of quartz matrix with a few isolated crystals of quartz. The quartz crystals are unfortunately broken for the most part with a few nicks to the ilvaite but plenty of very good crystals on display. The ilvaites are 0.5 cm in size. Overall size is 3.4 × 2.7 × 1.9 cm

POLLONE MINE, LUCCA, ITALY - Nice brigth waterclear quartzes, terminated, with some 2-4 mm baryte crystals, white in color. Classic from Pollone mine, Lucca, Italy. The quartz crystals are 1.5-1.7 cm in size. Overall size is 4x3x1 cm

Sweet Home mine, near Alma, Park County, Colorado, USA - The Sweet Home mine is world famous for its Rhodochrosite specimens. For those who don't know, Richard Kosnar and his father-in-law Dave Bergman mined the Sweet Home for a few years during the late 1970's and managed to collect some excellent specimens. This piece features a predominant, sharp, lustrous, gemmy, rich pinkish-red rhombohedron of Rhodochrosite measuring 1.1 cm across that is perched aesthetically on contrasting black Sphalerite matrxi with minor Pyrite. This is an unusual Rhodo from the Sweet Home as they are not often seen on Sphalerite like this. It would make a great addition to any Colorado suite, a Rhodo collection or a suite of thumbnail. This piece is from one of the early pockets that Rich and Dave opened when they started mining in 1977. Overall size is 2x1.5x1.5 cm. Ex Rob Lavinsky coll.

Sweet Home mine, near Alma, Park County, Colorado - For those who don't know, Richard Kosnar mined the Sweet Home for a few years during the late 1970's and managed to collect some excellent Rhodo specimens. This piece is from one of the last pockets that Rich and his mine foreman Dave Bergman (Brian Kosnar's maternal grandfather) opened before they were done at the mine. These three specimens feature a lovely pink-red color rhombohedra of Rhodochrosite; two of which have a bit of attached matrix. The crystals are sharp and well-formed with great color and translucency for the size I don't have to tell you that these pieces are selling for top dollar across the board. A worthwhile set of specimens of Rhodochrosite from this most classic of localities. Overall sizes 1.5 x 1.4 x 1.3 cm to 0.9 x 0.7 x 0.3 cm
