Sweet Home mine, near Alma, Park County, Colorado - For those who don't know, Richard Kosnar mined the Sweet Home for a few years during the late 1970's and managed to collect some excellent Rhodo specimens. This piece is from one of the last pockets that Rich and his mine foreman Dave Bergman (Brian Kosnar's maternal grandfather) opened before they were done at the mine. These three specimens feature a lovely pink-red color rhombohedra of Rhodochrosite; two of which have a bit of attached matrix. The crystals are sharp and well-formed with great color and translucency for the size I don't have to tell you that these pieces are selling for top dollar across the board. This piece features a predominant, sharp, lustrous, gemmy, rich pinkish-red rhombohedron of Rhodochrosite measuring 1.1 cm across that is perched aesthetically on contrasting black Sphalerite matrxi with minor Pyrite. This is an unusual Rhodo from the Sweet Home as they are not often seen on Sphalerite like this. It would make a great addition to any Colorado suite, a Rhodo collection or a suite of thumbnail. Bunker Hill Mine, Kellogg, Idaho, USA - Very nice cluster of bright green pyromorphite crystals up to 1 cm in size ! No damage to the crystals. Perfect terminations. Overall size is 2.5x2x1 cm

Minas Gerais, Brazil - A very nice and esthetic specimen ! A quartz point, perfectly terminated hosts a couple of bright green elbaites that emerge from the quartz crystal. A third elbaite is completely frozen inside the quartz. Real nice and peculiar Brazilian specimen of 3.5x2.5x2.5 cm in size. Weight is 20 gr.

SAPO MINE, MINAS GERAIS, BRASIL - Bright and perfectly terminated apatite crystals . The crystals are undamaged and are 1.4 cm in diameter ! Super crystals ! Very showy specimen of 4x3.5x2 cm in size

Daoping Mine, Guangxi Prov., China - Very nice coverage of pyromorphite crystals. The crystals are up to 1 cm in size and shoe a great green color ! The whole surface of the specimen is covered by the pyros. Overall size is 5x2.8x2.5 cm

Juab Co., Utah, USA - A super thumbnail ! On a small piece of matrix there is a perfectly terminated undamaged bixbyite crystal 0.7 cm onthe edge ! Super crystal. Overall size is 1x1x0.7 cm. Mounted in a perky box. Weight is 5 gr.

100Ambararata, Madagascar - Nice cluster of deep red liddicoatite crystals ! The 2 crystals are linked thanks to a small cluster of quartz crystals. The liddicoatites are both biterminated ! Their sizes are 1.5x1.5 cm and 1.3x0.6 cm in size. Nice dark red/purple violet color. Overall size is 2.7x2x1.5 cm
