Erongo Mountains, Karibib, Erongo Region, Namibia - A single perfect striated blue aquamarine crystal shows up on a small mass of small irregular orthoclase crystals. The exposed crystal measures to 4 cm in size !! Great color and very fine specimen from this well known locality. This specimen has been collcrted in 1996. Overall size is 4 × 3.1 × 2.4 cm. San Piero, Isola Elba, Livorno, Italy - Interesting combination specimen. There is a terminated beryl of 0.9x0.8 cm in size nicely located on a feldspar crystal. Close to them there are some bright orange spessartine crystals. The specimen hosts also various albite crystals, some incomplete elbaite crystals and other feldspars up to 2.5 cm on the edge ! in a cavity there is a well defined cluster of green millimetric zircon crystals. Very peculiar rock of 9.5x6.5x4 cm

LA SPERANZA, SAN PIERO, ISOLA ELBA, LIVORNO, ITALY - The area of La Speranza was one of the oldest area where tourmalines and other pegmatite minerals have been found during the 18th century. More or less 30 years ago a vein was resumed and worked again with some nice findings ! this beryl is from that old findings. The crystal is biterminated and shows multiple terminations and a light blue color. Its size is 0.7x0.6x0.5 cm, quite large for the location ! a great oldtimer. Overall size is 7x5x4.5 cm

GROTTA D'OGGI, SAN PIERO ISOLA ELBA, LIVORNO, ITALY - The combination of black quartz and beryl is typical at Grotta d'Oggi quarry. This specimen hosts a nicely terminated waterclear beryl of 0.6 cm in size and some 2-4 mm black quartzes, nested in an open cavity. Nice rock of 3.5x3x2 cm

SAN PIERO, ISOLA ELBA, LIVORNO, ITALY - Pegmatite minerals are sometimes nicely coupled. In fact it is not so rare to find that schorl, beryl and/or cassiterite crystals are variously combined in the same cavity or nearby. This is the case. This rock has half a dozen of terminated schorl crystals up to 0.4 cm. Some of the schorls have a white albite coating as a cap. On one side there is a terminated beryl of 0.45 cm. Overall size is 5.5x5x3.5 cm

FORCIONI DIKE, SANT ILARIO, ISOLA ELBA, ITALY - Colorless beryls (goshenite) are nested among small feldspars on this specimen from the Forcioni area. Their size is up to 0.8 cm. Overall size is 4x2.5x2.5 cm

Darrah I Pech, Chapa Dara District, Kunar Prov., Afghanistan - Nice bright beryl var goshenite of 2.6x2.3x2 cm in size. The goshenite sits on a small matrix and is biterminated.  Overall size is 2.6x2.3x2.4 cm. Weight is 20 gr.

SAN PIERO, ISOLA ELBA, LIVORNO, ITALY - Among the centimetric feldspars and quartz crystals there is a lightpink/grey morganite. The morganite is located close to a quartz crystal and shows a perfect tabular termination. The crystal is 4 mm wide and emerges for 0.5 cm out of the crowded crystalline area where is located. There are a lot of feldspars around, up to 1.5-1.8 cm on the edge. Overall size is 7x7x6.5 cm.
